Many women suffer from increased vaginal dryness particularly during menopause.
The lubricating abilities of the vagina are significantly reduced and this can result in pain and feelings of tension during sexual intercourse. This often leads to the situation that women in menopause avoid physical closeness to their partner. To enable this, a woman needs an optimal vaginal environment. The moisturization of the vagina is facilitated by the Bartholin’s and Skene’s glands at the opening of the vagina.
The natural moisture of the vagina varies. It depends on the point in time of the monthly cycle, age, state of excitement, stress, illness, and other individual reasons.
